The Ghana senior national women’s football team, the Black Queens, have pulled out of the upcoming three-nation preparatory tournament in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, during the June FIFA international window.
The competition, which features hosts Tanzania and Malawi alongside Ghana, is scheduled to run from June 1 to June 9. The Black Queens were originally slated to compete in the tournament as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
However, following a decision to withdraw from the competition, Ghana will no longer participate. The Black Queens are now expected to remain in Accra during the FIFA window to continue their training and play friendly matches.
