Real Madrid has officially signed Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei from Granada in a transfer deal valued at €2 million.
The 21-year-old player will initially join Real Madrid Castilla, the European champions’ reserve team, to continue his development.
The Accra-born defender was present at the Santiago Bernabéu on Thursday, where he watched Real Madrid secure a 4-1 victory over Real Sociedad.

Versatile in defense, Naasei is capable of operating as both a centre-back and a right-back. He initially moved to Granada in 2023, advancing through the club’s ranks before earning two first-team appearances in La Liga 2 this season.
His performances in Spain earned him a call-up to the Ghana national team. Naasei was selected for the Black Stars squad ahead of an international friendly against Mexico on May 22, where he made his senior international debut during the team’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
