Chief Justice Paul Baffoe Bonnie has appealed for tangible assistance to strengthen the judiciary’s operations.

During a courtesy visit to Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin on Monday, January 26, the Chief Justice outlined his requirements, which include secure office facilities for the judiciary, improved security measures for judicial staff, and simplified procedures for recruiting more personnel and specialists.

The Chief Justice used the occasion to present his plans for advancing the justice sector in Ghana.

He also stressed the need for improvements in legal education, underscoring the importance of training programmes that align with changing demands and technological advancements.

The meeting reflected a spirit of mutual regard and common dedication to public service. The discussion concluded with a clear understanding that advancement depends on constructive engagement, focused improvements, and willingness to strengthen institutions that protect justice for all Ghanaians.

In his welcoming address, Speaker Bagbin described the visit as historic and an opportunity for partnership between the two branches of Government to strengthen Ghana’s democratic system.
