Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg are reportedly tracking Ghanaian winger Prince Amoako Jr as a potential target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Scouts from the German club were present this past weekend to observe the 19-year-old during FC Nordsjælland’s 2-1 win over Viborg FF in the Danish Superliga. Amoako Jr scored the opening goal of the match, bringing his season tally to seven goals and five assists.

The attacker is a product of Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy, following a developmental path similar to previous graduates such as Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and Simon Adingra.

Amoako Jr’s consistent form comes at a critical time as Ghana national team head coach Carlos Queiroz prepares to finalize his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. With the official squad announcement expected by June 1, the winger’s performances in Denmark have placed him in contention for a call-up. Ghana is set to compete in Group L against England, Croatia, and Panama.

Nordsjælland’s next fixture is scheduled for May 1 against Aarhus Gymnastikforening, providing another platform for the youngster to impress international and club suitors alike.
