The third prosecution witness in the ongoing trial of former National Signals Bureau (NSB) Director-General, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, has testified about her role in facilitating cash withdrawals and transfers linked to companies allegedly set up by the accused.
Appearing before the court on April 29, Mildred Donkor told the court she was made a director of Advantage Solutions, a company she said was used to move funds from another entity, BNC Communications Limited. According to her testimony, she was instructed by Adu-Boahene and his wife to open company bank accounts, sign documents, and execute transactions using pre-signed cheques, despite having no involvement in the companies’ operations or decision-making processes.
Donkor stated that she was not invited to board meetings and acted solely on instructions, including transferring large sums of money to third parties, some of whom she identified as associates of the accused. She further disclosed that she was listed as a director in several other companies allegedly linked to Adu-Boahene, through which funds were also transferred.
The case involves allegations that Adu-Boahene, his wife Angela Boateng, and Advantage Solutions Limited misappropriated GH₵49 million intended for government cybersecurity software, with prosecutors claiming the funds were routed through multiple companies and used to acquire properties locally and abroad.
The court has adjourned proceedings to May 5, 2026, for the cross-examination of the witness.
