Agona West NDC Wing grace launch of Bobikuma Akwanbo festival

The Agona West Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) graced the launch of the annual Akwanbo Festival.

Organised under the behest of the Nananom of Agona Bobikuma, the launch witnessed the celebration of the Agona culture with many dignitaries in attendance.

Below is the full speech delivered by Frank Freebody Mensah, the Constituency Youth Organizer of Agona West.

“This esteemed cultural event celebrates the rich heritage and traditions of the people of Agona BOBIKUMA (UPPER), and myself with my entourage were thrilled to be part of such a significant occasion.

“Accompanying me were key members of the Agona West NDC, including the Constituency Women Organizer Madam Georgina Osei(Akosua Obo), Constituency Executive Member Hon Kweku Takyi (Chairman Dollar), Branch Youth and Women Organizers within BOBIKUMA (UPPER & LOWER), *BOBIKUMA WEST Assembly Member Hon George Awotwe, *Ward Coordinators and others.

“Their presence underscored the party’s commitment to embracing and supporting cultural festivities that bring communities together. In a unique twist, I went along to introduce the Beautiful Ladies’, a Club I am a proud patron to.

“The Club added a special flair to the event and showcased the spirit of community involvement and philanthropy. We on behalf of the party made generous donations, further demonstrating our dedication to supporting local communities and cultural initiatives.

“I pledge to sponsor a Street Artist Night as part of the Akwambo Festival. This sponsorship will include a performance by the renowned artiste Patapaa and a few others, adding excitement and entertainment to the festival lineup.

I expressed gratitude for the invitation to the Akwambo Festival Launch and commended the organizers for their efforts in promoting Ghanaian culture and traditions.

I reiterate the Agona West NDC’s commitment to supporting cultural events that unite communities and celebrate Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.”
