Maxwell Theodore Alornyo has endorsed Frederick Lartey Otu’s bid for the presidency of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF), expressing confidence that Otu has the qualities needed to become the federation’s most successful leader.
Alornyo described Otu as a capable and experienced administrator whose leadership credentials make him the right person to guide Ghana taekwondo into a new phase of development.
“Frederick Lartey Otu is a proven leader, result oriented and committed to his work,” Alornyo said.
According to him, Otu’s track record of delivering results and his dedication to his responsibilities position him as a strong candidate to lead the federation and drive growth within the sport.
Alornyo said he expects Otu to place a strong emphasis on grassroots development, particularly by addressing the needs of athletes, coaches and practitioners across the country.
“I expect Mr Otu to reach out to the practitioner’s needs especially those in the grass root,” he noted.
He stressed that greater attention to grassroots participation and development would be vital to strengthening the sport and creating opportunities for young practitioners.
Alornyo added that he was prepared to support efforts aimed at advancing the federation’s objectives and ensuring the growth of taekwondo in Ghana.
“If you want more information, let me share my resume with you so you can get the information you want,” he said.
The endorsement adds to growing support for Otu’s campaign as stakeholders within the taekwondo fraternity look ahead to the future leadership of the federation.
For many within the sport, Alornyo believes Otu’s focus on results, inclusiveness and grassroots development could help usher in a new era for Ghana taekwondo and leave a lasting impact on the federation.
