Ghanaian international Antoine Semenyo has been shortlisted for the 2025/26 Premier League Player of the Season award following a dominant campaign in English football.
The 25-year-old forward recorded 16 goals and four assists across 35 appearances this season, featuring for both AFC Bournemouth and Manchester City. Semenyo started the year at Bournemouth, where his physicality and offensive impact made him one of the league’s most prominent attackers, eventually securing a high-profile transfer to Manchester City in January.
Under the management of Pep Guardiola, Semenyo integrated quickly into the City squad and played a pivotal role in the club’s pursuit of the league title. A standout period in February saw the attacker score three goals and provide one assist in five matches, earning him the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
Throughout the season, Semenyo’s tactical versatility allowed him to contribute effectively as a winger, striker, or midfielder. His nomination for the season’s top individual honor highlights his rapid ascent in the sport and serves as a significant milestone for the Black Stars forward as he continues his career at the Etihad Stadium.
