Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto has revealed his intentions to take legal action against DJ Black and Charterhouse for the unauthorised use of his song “Fa No Fom” during the recently held Ghana Music Awards.

According to DJ Azonto, Charterhouse and DJ Black did not seek his consent or credit him before playing his song at the music awards gala.

He further stated that unauthorised use of his song “Fa No Fom” not only violates copyright laws but also disrespects his intellectual property rights.

As such, he is left with no option but to seek legal redress to protect his interests and ensure such actions are not repeated in the future.

DJ Azonto stated in an interview that plans to sue Charterhouse were instigated because he was not invited on stage to perform or given the opportunity to participate in the event on stage.

This, he said, deprived him of rightful publicity and recognition and the chance to perform on one of the biggest musical stages in Ghana.

DJ Azonto added that he believes in the importance of respecting the hard work and creativity of artists, and is committed to upholding these principles.

However, DJ Azonto made an appearance on the red carpet where he stole the show with some perplexing nursing garb looks.
