National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, has cautioned party members not to blame President John Dramani Mahama if they fail to secure ministerial appointments under the current administration.

Speaking during a tour of the Central Region, Mr Asiedu Nketiah said the decision to limit ministerial appointments to 60 was a collective resolution of the party and not the choice of any individual.

He explained that the move was informed by the party’s long-standing criticism of the previous government’s 125 ministerial appointments, which the NDC considered excessive and financially burdensome.

According to him, the reduced number of appointees is part of the party’s broader strategy to run a leaner, more efficient and cost-effective government.
