The Ministry of Education has postponed the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4.

The Ministry said the extension follows appeals from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for more time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data on the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS platforms.

According to the Ministry, about 20,000 qualified students have yet to have their school choices uploaded, prompting the decision to extend the deadline to ensure that all eligible students are included in the placement exercise.

The Ministry has urged affected stakeholders to use the additional time to complete all outstanding submissions. It said the extension is aimed at ensuring a fair, transparent and orderly placement process for students seeking admission to Senior High Schools (SHSs) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.

The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results are therefore expected to be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
