Management of gospel musician Esther Smith has strongly denied reports circulating on social media claiming that Pastor Elvis Agyemang of Alpha Hour demanded or received money in exchange for prayers, describing the claims as inaccurate and misleading.
In a statement addressing the issue, management said engagements between Esther Smith’s team, Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour team were conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, professionalism and sincere pastoral support. It emphasised that no payment was ever requested or charged for prayers.
The statement also indicated that adequate security and support were provided during the engagement, and described Pastor Elvis Agyemang as a leader with a consistent record of integrity, transparency and accountability. The public, fans of Esther Smith and members of the Alpha Hour community were urged to disregard speculation and sensational reports on social media.
Management further appealed to media practitioners and bloggers to verify information before publication, cautioning against the spread of content that could mislead the public or harm reputations. The statement said the clarification was issued to ensure truth, clarity and peace.
