Ghanaian rapper Freda Rhymz has earned a nomination in the Best Female Rap Act category at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA),cementing her position as one of Ghana’s leading female Hip-hop artistes.
The annual awards, organised by Big A Entertainment, celebrate outstanding achievements by African musicians and creatives across the continent and the diaspora.
This year’s ceremony is scheduled to take place on September 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, USA.
Freda Rhymz joins several Ghanaian entertainers who have been recognised for their contributions to African music.
Among the nominees is another female Ghanaian rapper Eno Barony, who has also secured a nomination in the Best Female Rap Act category, highlighting Ghana’s growing influence in African rap.
The nominations reflect the impact both artistes have made over the past year through their music, performances, and contribution to the growth of the genre.
Organisers have opened voting to the public and are encouraging fans to support their favourite artistes by casting their votes online.
