Ghana and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring new investment opportunities during a Business-to-Business (B2B) Matching Reception held on Thursday, 15 January 2026, in Accra.
The event brought together Ghanaian companies and representatives from the Japanese mission to exchange ideas, share experiences, and identify mutually beneficial areas for collaboration. Key sectors highlighted included finance and capital, infrastructure, manufacturing and technology, commercial and professional services, and initiatives involving public, multilateral, and non-governmental organizations.
Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Kunimitsu Ayano, and Ghana’s Deputy Minister for Trade and Agribusiness, Sampson Ahi, encouraged businesses from both countries to deepen investment cooperation. They emphasised that such partnerships could drive sustainable economic growth, create jobs, and generate wealth for both nations.
