The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has retrieved the body of an unidentified man from a drainage channel at Asylum Down in Accra.

According to the Service, a distress call was received on April 8, prompting a rapid response from a rescue team from the Circle Fire Station. The team, led by Richard Helegbe, arrived at the scene near a drain connected to the Odaw River and successfully recovered the body.

The deceased has not yet been identified. The body has since been handed over to the Ghana Police Service for preservation and further investigations.
