The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Mohammed, has expressed confidence that there will be no rerun of the parliamentary election in the Kpandai constituency as the Supreme Court prepares to deliver its ruling on January 28, 2026.

He clarified that the court has not postponed the case but merely adjourned sittings to allow time for a ruling, following arguments presented by lawyers for all parties involved. Mr Mohammed said the NPP is confident in the strength of its case and remains committed to respecting the judicial process.

He maintained that the next parliamentary election in Kpandai will only take place in 2028 and dismissed claims of an impending rerun, urging the public to await the Supreme Court’s decision.
