Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been crowned the Best Player of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.
The announcement was made at the Ghana Football Association’s 32nd Ordinary Congress in Prampram on Thursday. As part of his award, the Ghanaian international will be rewarded with a brand-new vehicle from JAC Motors valued at $38,000.
Asare earned the accolade after keeping 12 clean sheets to give Hearts of Oak the best defensive record in the top flight, helping the club secure a third-place finish. His domestic form earned him a call-up to Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad, where his performances included a clean sheet against England.
