I warned Dr Bawumia not to trust Asamoah Gyan – Ice Boss

Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto, now known as “Ice Boss” says he is not surprised about Asamoah Gyan ditching the New Patriotic Party just three months to elections.

Asamoah Gyan in a social media post on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 renounced his affiliation to any political party as he turns focus on helping the youth.

DJ Azonto claims that a few months ago, at a rally in the Eastern Region, he personally warned NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, not to trust Asamoah Gyan during his musical performance.

DJ Azonto further stated that Asamoah Gyan’s decision not to be affiliated to the NPP stems from his brother Baffour Gyan.

“I was not surprised when I heard the news about Asaamoah Gyan leaving the NPP. I remember when I met Bawumia for the first time I told him not to trust Asamoah Gyan.

“But for me, I render my unflinching support for Dr Bawumia and would not betray him,” he said.

DJ Azonto also stated that he intends to secure more footballer endorsement for Dr Bawumia if only he pays the $10m compensation over the use of “Fa No Fom.”
