In a statement issued by his Special Aide, Rafik Mahama, he stated that Mr Mahama has neither expressed interest in purchasing the state-owned aluminium company nor submitted any offer to acquire it. The statement further defended Mr Mahama’s business record, saying his companies have been established and operated in compliance with Ghanaian laws and have remained resilient over several electoral cycles. Mr Mahama has instructed his legal team to pursue legal action over the publication and circulation of the allegations, insisting he has no involvement in or interest in any proposed acquisition of VALCO.
