The Ghanaian music space is bracing for another headline-grabbing moment as Ice King of Aburi formerly known as DJ Azonto prepares to release a brand-new song titled “1 Trillion”, a song already stirring intense debate even before its official drop.

Slated for release on Friday, April 17, 2026 “1 Trillion” is widely believed to be Ice King of Aburi’s latest response in his ongoing feud with award-winning rapper Sarkodie.

Ice King of Aburi, rose to prominence with his street anthem “Fa No Fom”, carving a niche for himself as a loud, unapologetic voice of the Azonto movement.

The song’s title alone has raised eyebrows. According to Ice King, the “1 trillion” figure represents compensation he believes is owed to him following what he describes as the unauthorized use and commercialization of the Azonto identity.

Sources close to Ice King say the new song goes beyond subtle jabs. Much like his earlier diss track “Fa Ma Omo,” “1 Trillion” reportedly blends sharp lyrics, satire, and bold declarations of ownership, reinforcing his claim that no artist—regardless of status—has the right to use the Azonto name without consent.

The track is also rumored to reference his demand for not just financial compensation, but a music feature from Sarkodie—an unusual ultimatum that has further divided fans.

While some see the demand as exaggerated and theatrical, others argue it reflects long-standing frustrations faced by grassroots innovators whose work is often overshadowed by more commercially dominant figures.

On social media, anticipation for “1 Trillion” continues to build. Supporters praise Ice King for “standing his ground” and forcing a national conversation about ownership, recognition, and cultural credit.

Critics, however, view the move as publicity-driven stunt.
