The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has ordered an investigation into allegations that some police officers in Kibi were involved in the unauthorised withdrawal of GH¢400,000 from a mobile money account belonging to a MoMo agent.

In a statement, the Ghana Police Service said the IGP has tasked the Police Professional Standards Bureau to conduct a thorough probe into claims made in a viral video circulating on social media.

Police indicated that the alleged victim has been contacted and is cooperating with investigators as authorities work to establish the facts surrounding the incident.

The Service assured the public that the investigation will be conducted professionally and that the outcome will be made public once the process is completed.
