Celebrated Ghanaian actress and television personality Nana Ama McBrown has disclosed that she has spent nearly GH₵500,000 on medical treatment and rehabilitation for her injured right arm since May 2025.
Speaking in an interview on December 17, 2025, McBrown opened up about the physical, emotional and financial toll of her recovery following her fifth and final surgery to address complications from a long-standing arm injury sustained in a car accident in January 2013.
She described the recovery process as demanding and deeply personal, noting that while family and friends offer support, healing ultimately requires individual strength and resilience. McBrown revealed that her treatment involved intensive physiotherapy sessions at the 37 Military Hospital in the early mornings, in addition to continued therapy at home using medical stimulation equipment.
Despite the challenges, the actress expressed gratitude for her progress, stating that she is relieved to be free from the persistent pain she endured for over a decade. She thanked God for a successful outcome and described the surgery as the final chapter in her long journey toward recovery.
