John Dramani Mahama has extended Ramadan greetings to Muslims in Ghana, urging reflection, unity and compassion as the holy month begins.

In a statement issued on Friday, February 20, Mahama and his wife, Lordina Mahama, wished Muslims a spiritually fulfilling and blessed Ramadan, describing the period as a time for renewal and togetherness.

He encouraged the faithful to focus on spiritual growth, discipline and strengthening their faith, while praying for good health and peace throughout the fasting period.

Mahama also stressed that the essence of Ramadan goes beyond abstaining from food and drink, calling on Muslims to show kindness and generosity, especially to the less privileged. He further urged Ghanaians to use the month to promote national unity and deepen bonds within their communities.

Muslims across the country are preparing to observe the 30-day period of fasting, prayer and reflection.
