John Mahama is set to deliver the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament on Friday, February 27.
The address is expected to present a comprehensive assessment of the country’s current condition, highlighting progress made and outlining the government’s key policy priorities for the year ahead. The President is anticipated to touch on critical sectors including the economy, health, education, agriculture and infrastructure, as well as Ghana’s international relations.
The State of the Nation Address is a constitutional requirement under Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which mandates the President to address Parliament at the beginning of each session on the state of the nation.
