Presidential Staffer Nana Yaa Akyenpim Jantuah has criticised Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin over remarks made after she received the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) petition on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama.
She said she was officially designated by the President to receive the petition because he and other senior government officials were attending the national commemoration for victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.
Nana Yaa Jantuah described the Minority Leader’s remarks as disrespectful, arguing that insulting her amounted to disrespecting the President, who assigned her the responsibility.
She also defended her credentials and experience, stating that she had achieved significant professional success before entering her current political role. She further rejected claims that she was not senior enough to receive the petition, insisting that she is a senior government official acting on the President’s instructions.
