John Ntim Fordjour has denied allegations of a sexual relationship with transgender musician Angel Maxine, describing the claims as false.

The Assin South MP stated that he has never engaged in any such act, adding that his personal beliefs align with what he described as relationships ordained between “Adam and Eve.”

The denial follows remarks by Samuel Nartey George during parliamentary deliberations on the proposed Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill 2025. Mr. George referenced the allegations while arguing that individuals who publicly identify with or promote LGBTQ+ activities could face prosecution if the bill is passed.

He also cited claims involving social commentator Headucator, suggesting that such cases raise questions about who may be liable under the proposed law.

The bill, currently under clause-by-clause consideration by Parliament’s Constitutional and Legal Affairs Committee, seeks to criminalise same-sex relations and related advocacy, and continues to generate significant public debate.
