A member of the legal team of former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, Frank Davies, says his client is in good spirits ahead of his immigration hearing scheduled for Tuesday, January 20, in the United States.
Mr Davies disclosed that the hearing will be conducted virtually, with Mr Ofori-Atta expected to join from a location determined by immigration officials, as he is currently being held at the Caroline Detention Centre.
He stressed that the proceedings are purely an immigration matter related to the adjustment of Mr Ofori-Atta’s immigration status and have no connection to any extradition process. According to the lawyer, the outcome of the hearing will clarify Mr Ofori-Atta’s status following the proceedings.
