Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei Oppong delivered a composed 90-minute performance to help Granada secure a 1-0 win against Cultural Leonesa on Monday, bolstering the club’s promotion aspirations.

Starting at right-back before shifting to central defense in the second half, the 21-year-old demonstrated a versatility that proved vital in maintaining Granada’s narrow lead. Naasei’s efforts earned him a 6.9 rating, placing him among the top four performers in the starting lineup.

The defender has established himself as a fixture in the squad this season, recording 33 appearances in the Segunda División. Since arriving at the Spanish club in 2023, Naasei has climbed the ranks to become a trusted asset for the coaching staff, frequently rotating between the flank and the heart of the defense.

The victory keeps Granada firmly in the race for a return to La Liga. Meanwhile, Naasei’s consistent form in Spain continues to position him as a viable candidate for the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars.
