Former musician and evangelist Papa Shee has confirmed plans for a second funeral ceremony to honour the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, months after his official burial in Kumasi.
In a recent video circulating online, Papa Shee, a former protégé of the singer, said the additional ceremony is expected to take place later in the year, with an official date to be announced on either March 28 or 29, 2026.
Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 60 and was officially buried on December 13, 2025, at Heroes Park in Kumasi. The announcement comes amid an ongoing legal dispute between his two widows, Akosua Serwaa and Priscilla Ofori Atta (Odo Broni), over marital recognition and inheritance. A Kumasi High Court ruling in November 2025 recognised both women as legitimate spouses, a decision Akosua Serwaa has appealed.
