A petition has been submitted to President John Dramani Mahama calling for the removal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng over alleged incompetence and financial mismanagement.
Filed on October 20, 2025, by Simon Yaw Awadzi, Executive Chairman of the Coalition for Integrity in Governance (COFIIG), the petition accuses Mr Agyebeng of failing to deliver meaningful results after four years in office despite billions of cedis allocated to the Office of the Special Prosecutor.
It further claims his administration has been characterised by institutional conflict and has not met public expectations in the fight against corruption.
