The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced the closure of all arrangements for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage with immediate effect.

In a statement dated February 18, 2026, the Office said all operational processes for this year’s pilgrimage including payments, documentation and submissions have been completed. It explained that only prospective pilgrims who submitted their passports and all required documents within the stipulated period were considered for the visa process.

PAOG stressed that visa processing cannot begin without full compliance with documentation requirements.

The Office further indicated that medical screening for pilgrims has been completed in selected centres across the country, but screenings for the Ashanti Region and the Greater Accra Region are scheduled for February 22 and February 28 respectively.

Prospective pilgrims under special (protocol) arrangements have also been urged to submit their passports as soon as possible and take part in medical screening either in Kumasi or at the Hajj Village in Accra.
