The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Jinapor, says electricity supply across Ghana has remained largely stable as government continues efforts to strengthen and modernise the country’s energy sector.

Speaking during President John Dramani Mahama’s “Resetting Ghana Tour” of the Savannah Region, Dr Jinapor outlined key government policies and reforms within the petroleum, power and renewable energy sectors aimed at improving energy security, expanding access and supporting sustainable national development.

According to the Minister, government is also implementing strategic measures to address years of declining production in the upstream petroleum industry.

He noted that renewed partnerships, targeted investments and sector reforms are being pursued to restore growth and ensure long-term sustainability within the industry.
