Musician Sista Afia has denied claims that she invited Tracy Shay onto the stage during her recent All White Party concert in Koforidua, following widespread social media reactions to the incident.
Videos circulating online showed Tracy Shay, a schoolgirl being mentored by singer Wendy Shay, appearing alone on stage at the event and urging the audience to cheer her on. The footage triggered public debate over how the young performer gained access to the stage.
In a press statement released on her social media platforms on January 8, 2026, Sista Afia said she had no knowledge of how or when Tracy Shay mounted the stage and stressed that she did not personally invite her to perform.
She noted that her immediate focus remains on the success of her 10th Anniversary Celebration in the music industry and disclosed that she is holding meetings with her management and team to review all aspects of the event, promising a detailed response at a later date.
Meanwhile, Wendy Shay has also addressed the matter, releasing a video in which she confirmed that Sista Afia was not aware of Tracy Shay’s appearance or performance at the concert.
Sista Afia concluded by thanking her fans, supporters, colleagues, sponsors, and the general public for the support shown during what she described as a historic milestone in her career.
