Two people have died and six others sustained injuries following a devastating multi-vehicle collision at Etukrom near Bunso Junction in the Eastern Region.

The crash involved an STC bus, two fuel tankers, a Kia Sorento, and a Mitsubishi pick-up, sparking a massive fire that engulfed the bus, one fuel tanker, and the pick-up. Two occupants were trapped in the burning vehicles and died at the scene, while the second fuel tanker veered into a nearby river, where it also caught fire.

The six injured victims, comprising four men and two women, were transported to Hawa Memorial Hospital in Osiem for medical treatment. Firefighters and other emergency responders carried out rescue operations, with authorities investigating the cause of the crash.
