The Ghana Police Service has arrested a security guard from the University of Ghana following a viral video showing an alleged assault.
The suspect, identified as Ebenezer Annor Darko, was apprehended by the Inspector-General of Police’s Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team (CVET) and is currently assisting with investigations.
Police say further updates will be provided as inquiries continue.
The Service has also urged the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands and to allow due process to take its course when dealing with suspected offenders.
