Businessman and President of Groupe Nduom, Papa Kwesi Nduom, has reaffirmed the group’s intention to resume operations of GN Savings and Loans following the Court of Appeal’s decision to restore its licence.
He said the company is guided by the rule of law and will continue preparations to restart operations unless a higher court issues a ruling to the contrary. His remarks come amid reports that the Bank of Ghana has appealed the Court of Appeal’s decision.
Dr. Nduom stated that, as things stand, the Court of Appeal’s order remains the only valid directive, adding that neither the Bank of Ghana nor Groupe Nduom had received formal service of any consequential orders or appeal documents.
He cautioned against relying on media reports and unverified information, noting that the group will respond appropriately once official legal communication is received.
According to him, legal representatives are on standby to act swiftly on any developments, but operations will proceed unless a superior court directs otherwise.
Dr. Nduom also revealed that efforts are underway to restore the institution’s operational capacity, including restructuring, infrastructure rehabilitation, and staffing preparations.
He maintained that Groupe Nduom remains committed to compliance with the court’s ruling while working towards full operational recovery.
