The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially dismissed Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars with immediate effect. The decision follows Ghana’s back-to-back losses in international friendly matches against Austria and Germany in March.

In a statement, the GFA expressed appreciation for Addo’s service, acknowledging his contributions while wishing him success in his future career. Addo, who previously served as an assistant coach at Borussia Dortmund, departs amid growing pressure over the team’s recent performances.

The move signals another shift in Ghana’s technical leadership as the country intensifies preparations for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026. The GFA indicated that details regarding a new coaching direction will be announced in due course.
