The National Teaching Council (NTC) has dismissed viral reports circulating on social media claiming an upward adjustment in the registration fees for the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE).
In an official disclaimer issued by its Public Affairs Unit, the Council reassured prospective candidates that the total registration fee remains unchanged at GH¢500.
According to the NTC, this amount continues to comprise GH¢450 for registration and GH¢50 for indexing—the exact same pricing structure that has been in place since 2023.
“NTC wishes to state that the GTLE fee remains GH¢500… same as it has been since 2023,” the Council stated, emphasizing that “there has been no increment”.
The Council has strongly advised the public and prospective applicants to disregard any unauthorized online publications suggesting higher fees. Candidates are encouraged to rely solely on official NTC communication channels and portals for verified updates regarding examinations.
