Sunyani Technical University has dismissed three students for their involvement in examination malpractice during the second semester resit examinations for the 2024/2025 academic year.

In a notice issued by the Office of the Registrar, the university said the decision followed confirmed violations of its examination regulations. One male student was found guilty of impersonation after arranging for another person to sit an examination on his behalf.

Two other students, a male and a female were dismissed for possessing and using unauthorized materials during the exams.

The university emphasized that the sanctions reflect its strict stance against academic misconduct, warning that examination malpractice in any form will attract severe penalties. Management also urged students to uphold academic integrity, noting that the action was necessary to protect the credibility and integrity of the institution’s examination system.
