The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released funds to all Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) nationwide to cover the cost of practical examinations for the 2026 WASSCE.
According to a statement issued on April 21, 2026, the funding will support the provision of essential materials, resources, and administrative needs required for smooth conduct of the practical exams.
GES explained that the move is intended to ensure a well-organised examination process while easing the financial burden on parents and guardians who would otherwise have to pay for practical-related expenses.
The Service has also directed regional, district, and school authorities to strictly ensure that the funds are used for their intended purpose.
