Ghanaian forward Felix Afena-Gyan has reportedly suffered a burglary incident at his residence in Italy while away on international assignment with the Black Stars.

The talented attacker was part of Ghana’s squad that travelled to face Mexico in an international friendly over the weekend. Afena-Gyan featured prominently in the encounter, playing 67 minutes as the Black Stars fell to a 2-0 defeat against the 2026 FIFA World Cup co-hosts.

However, the striker returned from national team duty to unfortunate news after discovering that his home in Italy had been broken into during his absence. Reports indicate that several personal belongings were stolen from the residence while he was away representing Ghana.

The incident has added to what was already a disappointing international break for the young forward, who had hoped to help the Black Stars secure a positive result against Mexico.

Afena-Gyan, who currently plays club football in Turkey, is yet to publicly comment on the robbery. Details regarding the exact items stolen or whether authorities have identified suspects remain unclear.

The incident has also sparked concern among fans, with many expressing sympathy and support for the player following the unfortunate ordeal.
