The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) is set to resume its suspended 2025/2026 recruitment screening exercise for Greater Accra on Thursday, November 20, 2025. The screening will be conducted across eight sub-centres in five locations to ensure a smooth and orderly process.
These centres are: El-Wak Stadium (two centres), Nicholson Park at Burma Camp (two centres), the Air Force Base at Burma Camp, the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) in Teshie (two centres), and the Eastern Naval Command in Tema. Applicants will be screened in batches of 600 and will receive SMS notifications specifying their reporting dates, batches, and designated centres. Those who do not receive a message by November 20 are advised to call the helpline or contact the WhatsApp number for assistance.
Applicants are urged to strictly follow the instructions and check the recruitment portal for updates.Families and friends are advised not to accompany applicants to the centres to reduce congestion, as non-applicants will not be permitted entry. The recruitment exercise was previously suspended after a tragic stampede that resulted in fatalities. A Board of Inquiry is investigating the incident, and the entire Greater Accra recruitment team has been replaced to ensure transparency and accountability. The GAF pledged support for the injured, including free medical care and a special recruitment package for affected families. Anyone found culpable will face sanctions
