Senegal has officially announced its squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The roster is highlighted by the inclusion of star forward Sadio Mane, who reverses his international retirement announced several months ago. Mane, who previously guided the Teranga Lions to success at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, was selected alongside 26 other players by head coach Pape Thiaw.

The full squad selection includes:

  • Goalkeepers: Edouard Mendy, Mory Diaw, Yehvann Diouf.

  • Defenders: Ismail Jakobs, El Hadj Malick Diouf, Krépin Diatta, Antoine Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Abdoulaye Seck, Moussa Niakhaté, Moustapha Mbow, Ilay Camara, Mamadou Sarr.

  • Midfielders: Habib Diarra, Pape Matar Sarr, Pathé Ciss, Pape Gueye, Lamine Camara, Bara Sapoko Ndiaye.

  • Forwards: Sadio Mané, Ismaila Sarr, Ibrahim Mbaye, Assane Diao, Iliman Ndiaye, Cherif Ndiaye, Bamba Dieng, Nicolas Jackson.

Senegal has been placed in Group I for the tournament, where they will compete against France, Norway, and Iraq. The Teranga Lions will open their World Cup campaign against France on June 16, 2026, at MetLife Stadium in the United States. They will then travel to Canada for their remaining group fixtures, playing Norway on June 22 and wrapping up the group stage against Iraq on June 26.
