Interior Minister, Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak, has rejected claims that former MASLOC CEO, Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, is receiving preferential treatment or serving her sentence outside the prison system.

According to the Minister, Tamakloe-Attionu has remained in the custody of the Ghana Prisons Service since reporting to serve her sentence and is being held in accordance with the law. He stressed that suggestions that she is staying in a private residence or special facility are unfounded.

Addressing calls for the disclosure of her exact location, Muntaka argued that authorities are not required to reveal where high-profile inmates are being held, citing security and safety concerns. He maintained that public disclosure of such information could expose inmates to potential risks.

The Minister reaffirmed that Tamakloe-Attionu is serving her prison term under lawful custody and noted that individuals seeking to verify her status or arrange a visit can do so through the appropriate procedures of the Ghana Prisons Service.
