Ghanaian actor and producer Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lilwin, said on Tuesday he will release a new film titled “Me Kum Me Ho Ma’ Nipa” to honour late highlife legend Daddy Lumba.

Lilwin announced the project in a Facebook post, urging fans to protect the musician’s legacy. “Let’s not allow any rivalry to take away the love we have for our legend, the late Daddy Lumba. Let’s keep protecting the legacy and he will continue to live forever in our hearts,” he wrote.

The film will feature a star-studded cast including Akrobeto, Bill Asamoah, Vivian Jill and gospel singer Great Ampong, Lilwin said. The storyline has not been disclosed, but the actor hinted it will celebrate Lumba’s influence on Ghanaian music and culture.

Daddy Lumba, widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most influential highlife musicians, died in July. His career spanned decades, producing hits that shaped the country’s music scene.

Lilwin previously attempted a similar project with Lumba eight years ago, but the film was never released after the musician requested changes.
