French Ligue 1 club Troyes are in discussions to sign Ghanaian striker Mohammed Fuseini from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise.
According to a report by Belgian outlet Voetbalnieuws.be, Troyes are seeking a loan deal with an option to buy the 24-year-old forward. However, Union Saint-Gilloise prefer an immediate permanent sale.
The potential move comes late in the transfer window, even though Fuseini had been anticipated to feature prominently for the Belgian champions during the current campaign. Union SG acquired the attacker from Danish outfit Randers FC in 2024 for a reported €2 million, binding him to a contract through 2028. Fuseini, who is currently valued at approximately €2.5 million by Transfermarkt, has since drawn interest through his pace, mobility, and versatility across the attacking front.
As Troyes prepare for their return to France’s top flight, they view the Ghanaian international—who has earned two caps and scored one goal for the Black Stars—as a key addition to their attack. While a loan with a buy option would allow the French club to evaluate the player first, Union SG’s desire for a permanent transfer could reshape the final terms. Negotiations between both teams are ongoing to determine whether Fuseini will stay in Belgium or transition to French football.
