A fire outbreak has ravaged sections of the Anwona Market located near Afful Nkwanta in the Kumasi Metropolis on Monday night, leaving numerous shops damaged.
The incident occurred less than a day after fire gutted a mechanic workshop complex at Sofoline, destroying property.
The fire began at approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, consuming parts of the market. Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service have arrived at the location and are working to bring the blaze under control.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the flames originated from the footwear factory area, a section typically used for storing combustible materials.
