Ghanaian attacker Prince Adu earned praise for his standout performance during Viktoria Plzeň’s 0–0 draw with league leaders Slavia Prague on Sunday.

Returning to the starting lineup for the first time since early March, the 22-year-old striker was a constant threat to the Slavia defense. His energetic display served as a strong response to a difficult performance in the club’s recent loss to Zlín.

Viktoria Plzeň head coach Martin Hyský lauded the forward’s impact, noting his ability to perform in high-stakes matches.

“We all know what he is capable of. He’s a game-changing player who can rise to big occasions,” Hyský said. “He was one of our most dangerous players today. It’s just unfortunate he couldn’t convert his chance after a great individual run.”

Hyský attributed Adu’s improved form to his recent time with the Ghana national team. The striker featured in two friendly matches for the Black Stars during the latest international break, a stint the coach believes provided a significant boost.

“After returning, I saw a different player,” Hyský remarked. “He has a big ambition—to represent Ghana at the World Cup. If he continues like this, he will be very important for us in the rest of the season.”

While Adu spearheaded the attack, a disciplined defensive performance by Plzeň was also vital in neutralizing Slavia’s offensive efforts to secure the draw.

The result maintains Plzeň’s competitive standing as the season enters its final stages, with Adu’s resurgence providing a timely lift for the squad.
